VR Meditation App ‘Maloka’ Launches

Experience guided meditations on a virtual private island voiced by Neil deGrasse Tyson

December 14, 2021 - Developers Galaxy Labs, Koffeecup, and HOO KOO E KOO are excited to announce that VR app Maloka is now live! Available on Meta Quest, with companion apps for iOS and Android, Maloka whisks players off to their very own private island designed to calm and center the mind.

Maloka is a unique VR experience that combines the best of mental health and fitness. Wellness authors Sukey and Elizabeth Novogratz (Just Sit, The Well Daily) traveled the world researching different meditation practices and were inspired to create Maloka as a way of making meditation easy for all.

Users will be guided to start their practice with the help of the Universe, voiced by renowned scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson. The more practice they achieve, the more their island flourishes in the form of vibrant plants, sculptures, and even mysterious portals.

Science is at the heart of Maloka, where practice doesn’t just feel serene, it’s actually activating Beta and Theta brainwaves that aid in relaxation.
